Bryan Smith – Managing Director and Company Safety Officer
Bryan is the third generation in his family to become a qualified stonemason after serving a three year apprenticeship with the same company as his grandfather and father. Moving within the company Bryan became foreman stonemason and then on to Site Manager while completing a Chartered Institute of Building Diploma (CIOB). After sixteen years with the same company Bryan moved up to the parent company to train as a safety officer. And with further CPD achieving MCIOB.
As Managing Director at Lloyd and Smith, Bryan undertakes many duties, mainly organises the work force and operational tasks, and much of his time is spent attending meetings and generally over seeing the management of the contracts, while introducing himself and the company to new clients and potential customers.
Garry Lloyd – Company Secretary and Director
Garry started his working life as an apprentice stonemason, working his way up the ladder to become foreman stonemason, moving on to site manager, before going back to college to study the Chartered Institute of Building Management Diploma (CIOB) and eventually becoming project manager for the same company that he started with at sixteen.
Garry completed 22 years with the company before deciding to make the break and join forces with Bryan to set up Lloyd and Smith. Garry’s main focus is producing high quality tenders and securing work for future contracts.
Lloyd and Smith was formed over fourteen years ago by Bryan Smith and Garry Lloyd, the company directors, who both have over 50 years specialised experience in the restoration and conservation industry.
